ALEXANDRIA, Va.—What’s one of the easiest ways to level up your category management game? By attending the NACS Advanced Category Management Certification program as a pre-conference add-on at this year’s NACS Show (registration for the NACS Show is required).

The six-hour interactive workshop is tailored for experienced category management and merchandising professionals in the convenience and fuel retailing industry. Attendees will learn how to:
- Develop a holistic brand strategy
- Identify points of brand differentiation
- Integrate consumer shopping behavior information into strategies for creating winning space assortments
- Adopt price elasticity modeling
- Utilize behavioral economic principles
- Optimize pricing, promotions and overall profitability

For those unable to attend the NACS Show, the association offers online, self-paced courses on category management as part of its NACS Advanced Category Management curriculum. Completion of the online NACS Certified Convenience Category Manager (CCCM) course prior to this event is strongly encouraged, as having an understanding of basic category management principles are assumed during this pre-conference advanced program.
